About Dr.Kolawole
Double Board-Certified Family & Functional Medicine
Dr. Elizabeth Kolawole, a double board-certified family and functional medicine physician, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, to hardworking West African immigrant parents who instilled a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others. From a young age, Dr. Kolawole knew she wanted to become a doctor who could manage everything, a dream inspired by her favorite childhood show, "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman."

What sets Dr. Kolawole apart is her exceptional ability to listen to her patients, their families, and every symptom, condition, and concern they present. Her compassionate demeanor and strong work ethic make her an unmatched healthcare provider. As her career progressed, Dr. Kolawole sought to expand her knowledge beyond traditional medical education, delving into alternative medicine to offer holistic, integrative solutions to her patients' health problems. By incorporating these approaches, she aims to cure people of chronic diseases, not just treat symptoms.

Founder Story
After finishing training, I started working in underserved communities, providing healthcare to the most vulnerable patient population. Through that service, I felt my medical education was missing root cause analysis. I wanted to help the entire person solve their issues, not just manage their symptoms, so I went back to school and became fellowship-trained in functional medicine.
Through this training, I was able to analyze the issues that people were having and provide them with the care they truly needed. I started to get results, and patients were so grateful.
Also, working in an insurance-based practice, I noticed that my patients had only 5–7 minutes to discuss their concerns with me; I felt that they deserved more of my time, attention, and care.

I am passionate about the current healthcare system being anti-doctor and anti-patient, and I know it can get better. I know there is another choice, and that is why I do not take insurance in my practice.
Her Approach Combines
